Coveting Arms

Description

Put this together last night. I had been trying to figure out how to use the octopus since he was a little large for the normal size tokens. Then I had some black gears left over from another batch of supplies since I normally work in bronze, gold and silver tones. Underneath the octo's arms is a shiny gem. It is simple but I am really happy with how this pulled together. :meow:

OCTOPUS! :D

Did you know that a relative of the Octopus, known as a Vampire Squid, isn't actually a Squid? It isn't even a Octopus! Vampire Squid are relatives of both orders, meaning they're one of the few, if not only, orders that come before the Squid and Octopus orders split! *squee!* Vampire Squid get their name from their 'frightening' appearance, toothy tentacles, and sharp tooth-like beak. They have a layer of 'webbing' between their tentacles, like a duck's feet. They also have the largest eye size (to body size ratio) in the Animal Kingdom (1 : 12 ratio). The Octopus Cirrina Order bears a slight similarity to the Vampire Squids.

I luv Octopi and Squids. Is it obvious? :meow:

Erm, in relation to this necklace - the black gear works wonderfully, and makes the octopus and gem stand out. Very pretty, and would work quite nicely with either a personified Kraken or a pirate. X3
Hm... steampunk-styled Kraken dress... that's not a bad idea...
